about

Hi.  I’m Peter.  I’m a writer.  I started project vvlgar in October 2011 because I wanted to see a resource on making coffee that was fun and accessible.  Then after a while I got bored (this happens to me a lot). So now I write about whatever the hell I feel like and for some reason my awesome and beautiful readers keep coming back and leaving awesome comments (I love you all).

My goal is hardboiled innovation in coffee brewing: tools, methods, and insights that you can execute to make kick ass coffee at home.  Pretty simple, right?

So enjoy the writing (or hate it). And leave me awesome comments.

These are some good places to start:

The Academy – this is where we keep our instructional guides.  way more fun than most academies.

My Initial Experience with the Hario Skerton Hand Grinder – this harkens back to when we first got our hand grinder.  Good stuff.

Over Pouring the Pour Over – first time with the Hario v60.  Pretty messy.

The Best Burr Coffee Grinders – what are you grinding with? Check out these reviews to see our recommendations.

Don’t Be a Stranger, Stranger

Comments – This is a great way to share your insights, and I do my best to respond to all of them.  If you have first hand experience with something, it’s especially awesome for you to put what you know in a comment box because it might be something we don’t know.  And sharing is caring.

Email – If you want to get a hold of me for any reason (unless you need money) you can email me at projectvvlgar@gmail.com.  However, I think that asking me for a “link exchange” when you don’t even know me is like asking a pretty girl at a bar for a “sex exchange” and I will slap you with the same vigor that she would.  If you want a “link exchange” it’s really quite similar to a “sex exchange” and I expect to be gloriously seduced in the same fashion.  Thanks.
